When Harry Jacobs started Jacobs & Goodman with his wife, Lauren Goodman, in 1976, he set out to create a personal injury plaintiff’s law firm based on two principles. First, he believed attorneys should take a personal approach to clients, get to know them and the issues they’re facing, and do more than just represent their case – they should help them through the many procedural, legal, and medical obstacles that come with being injured due to someone else’s negligence. Second, he wanted his attorneys to be committed to fighting to the finish for their clients – that if they take a case, they see it through to the end and spare no expense to achieve the best outcome for the client.

For more than 30 years, Harry has been practicing law according to these principles, helping injured individuals seek just compensation from the insurance companies and corporations that try to limit or deny their claims. Along the way, he served as lead counsel on many seminal medical malpractice and product liability cases of the 80’s and 90’s, establishing new precedents for patient rights, consumer rights, and corporate responsibility.

An active member of the community, Harry has served as a City Commissioner of Altamont Springs, been the Lead Counsel of the Jewish Federation, and Chairman of the United Jewish Appeal.

A specialist in motor vehicle collisions and premises liability law, over the past thirty years Lou has helped many hundreds of people of all socioeconomic levels to obtain recovery from insurance companies for their losses and injuries. He started his career after law school as an insurance adjuster at Allstate, where he was sent to “denial school,” and learned first-hand how insurance companies deny rightful claims brought by customers. But after a short time, feeling that the company was taking advantage of customers, he switched to plaintiff’s injury law, and has been fighting for the little guy ever since. His attention to detail and his willingness to fight harder and dig deeper in a case, together with his approachable nature, have given him numerous client referrals over the years. An avid reader and history buff, Lou also coaches in the Junior Magic basketball league.

A recognized expert in the field of “no-fault” insurance law, Glenn has been practicing personal injury law for more than 20 years with Jacobs & Goodman. He began his career as a public defender in Seminole and Orange Counties, eventually becoming a Felony Division Chief. In the mid-1980's, Glenn’s practice shifted full time to pursuing claims for injured victims against insurance companies and big business. Along with Harry Jacobs, Glenn was counsel of record in large medical malpractice cases in the late 1980's. It was during this time that he first became active in representing claims against motor vehicle insurance companies for Personal Injury Protection (PIP), or “no-fault” benefits. Since 2001, Glenn has appeared before numerous committees of the Florida legislature testifying on behalf of consumers, and has helped draft proposed legislation that has saved consumers millions of dollars as well as granting them greater protections. He is frequently retained by other attorneys as co-counsel in complex or difficult litigation involving “no-fault” insurance disputes, and lectures and writes widely on the subject. An active community member, Glenn has also been a member of the Board of Trustees of the City of Orlando's Harry P. Leu Gardens and has served on the Orlando Museum of Art Acquisition Trust Board.

Invited Member of the State of Florida Consumer Advocate “Working Group” on motor vehicle insurance reform issues. The only member who is a practicing attorney representing Florida consumers and motor vehicle accident victims on the panel on September 15, 2011, at the Capitol, in Tallahassee. Other members included a delegate from the Florida Medical Association, from the Florida Osteopathic Association, and from the Florida Chiropractic Association, and delegates from every major insurance company and from the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation. Glenn represented the interests of motor vehicle accident victims that are contrary to the positions taken by the delegates from the insurance industry.
